Mr. Lenny Li
CO-CEO, Managing Director and Co-Founder
Mr. Lenny Li is the Co-Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Ignite Capital. Mr. Li has over 18 years of corporate finance experience, and is licensed as a Responsible Officer under Type 1 (Dealing in Securities) and Type 6 (Advising on Corporate Finance) regulatory activities by the SFC and is qualified to advised on matters under the Takeovers Code. He is responsible for overseeing the business development and day-to-day operations of Ignite Capital, with a focus on corporate finance advisory transactions.
Prior to founding Ignite Capital and from 2023 to 2024, Mr. Li was the Executive Director and Responsible Officer at China Sunrise Capital Limited. Before that and between 2020 and 2023, Mr. Li was the Executive Director and Responsible Officer at Opus Capital Limited. Mr. Li was a Director and Co-Head of Corporate Finance at Platinum Securities Company Limited from 2006 to 2020.
Mr. Li has led and completed more than 150 corporate finance transactions in the past and has extensive and practical experience in relation to mergers and acquisitions of Hong Kong listed companies.
Mr. Li also practiced law as a Registered Foreign Lawyer at Preston Gates & Ellis (Hong Kong) from 2002 to 2006. Mr. Li obtained his Juris Doctor degree from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, the US.
Mr. Andrew Cheung
CO-CEO, Managing Director and Co-Founder
Mr. Andrew Cheung is the Co-Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Ignite Capital. Mr. Cheung has over 18 years of experience in the financial industry including corporate finance advisory, M&A advisory and financial analysis. Mr. Cheung is licensed as a Responsible Officer under Type 1 (Dealing in Securities) and Type 6 (Advising on Corporate Finance) regulatory activities by the SFC, and qualified to advise on matters under the Takeovers Code. He is responsible for overseeing the business development and day-to-day operations of Ignite Capital, with a focus on corporate finance advisory transactions.
Prior to founding Ignite Capital and from 2018 to 2024, Mr. Cheung was an Executive Director and Responsible Officer of Opus Capital Limited, during which time he was the main driving force for Opus Capital to be ranked 3rd and 5th by Refinitiv for “HK Mid-Market M&A Market” in 2020 and 2021 by number of deals respectively. From 2017 and 2018, Mr. Cheung held senior execution positions with CCB International Capital Limited and Oceanwide Capital Limited (currently known as Quam Capital Limited), the investment banking arm of China Oceanwide International Financial Limited (currently known as Quam Plus International Financial Limited) (stock code: 952.HK). Before that, he worked at Somerley Capital Limited, the principal subsidiary of Somerley Capital Holdings Limited (stock code: 8439.HK) from 2010 to 2017 with his last position as an Associate Director. Mr. Cheung had also worked in the M&A department of KPMG Hong Kong and Deloitte’s corporate finance departments in Australia and Singapore between 2007 and 2009.
Over the years, Mr. Cheung has led teams to participate in and complete a large number of corporate M&A transactions, as well as investment, financing, restructuring and delisting transactions for listed companies. Mr. Cheung also provides post-listing compliance consulting services for a number of Hong Kong listed companies, through which he is familiar with the compliance and corporate governance of listed companies in Hong Kong.
Mr. Cheung obtained his Master of Commerce (Funds Management) from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He also received his Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) / Bachelor of Business Administration at Macquarie University, Australia. Mr. Cheung is a fellow of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute, a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a life member of the Hong Kong Independent Non-Executive Director Association. Mr. Cheung is an independent non-executive director of Vietnam Manufacturing and Export Processing (Holdings) Limited (stock code: 422.HK).
Ms. Cecilia Tam
Managing Director and Co-Founder
Ms. Cecilia Tam is the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Ignite Capital. Ms. Tam has over 15 years of corporate finance experience, and is licensed as a Sponsor Principal for IPO matters, a Responsible Officer under Type 6 (Advising on Corporate Finance) regulatory activity by the SFC, and qualified to advise on matters under the Takeovers Code. She is responsible for overseeing the business development and day-to-day operations of Ignite Capital, with a focus on both capital markets and corporate finance advisory transactions.
Prior to founding Ignite Capital and from 2020 to 2024, Ms. Tam held senior management roles in China Sunrise Capital Limited, Elstone Capital Limited and Titan Financial Services Limited with supervisory duties on IPO matters and corporate finance transactions. Between 2018 and 2020, she was the head of corporate finance unit of RHB Capital Hong Kong Limited. Ms. Tam worked in Quam Capital Limited, the investment banking arm of Quam Plus International Financial Limited (stock code: 952.HK) from 2010 to 2018, with the last position as Director. Prior to that, Ms. Tam also worked in the corporate finance department of UOB Asia (Hong Kong) Limited, investment banking division of Piper Jaffray Asia Limited and the reorganisation services group of Deloitte when she first started her career.
Ms. Tam has led and executed a large number of M&A transactions (including transactions under the Takeovers Code), IPOs and secondary offerings in the Greater China region and has extensive experience in these areas.
Ms. Tam obtained her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, Australia. She is a qualified member of CPA Australia. Ms. Tam is an independent non-executive director of Sundart Holdings Limited (stock code: 1568.HK).
Mr. Tan Soon Hoe
Senior Director
Mr. Tan Soon Hoe is the Senior Director of Ignite Capital. Mr. Tan has over 15 years of corporate finance experience and has led and executed many IPOs and M&A transactions, and is licensed as a Sponsor Principal for IPO matters, a Responsible Officer under Type 6 (Advising on Corporate Finance) regulatory activity by the SFC. He is mainly responsible for supervision of corporate finance transactions and business development.
Prior to joining Ignite Capital and from 2012 to 2023, Mr. Tan was the Management Director – Investment Banking at China Galaxy International Securities (Hong Kong) Co., Limited, the Hong Kong investment banking arm of China Galaxy Securities Co., Ltd. (stock code: 6881.HK). Between 2011 and 2012, Mr. Tan was the Chief Financial Officer of HL Technology Group Limited (currently known as InvesTech Holdings Limited) (stock code: 1087.HK). Before that, he worked at Piper Jaffray Asia Limited from 2006 to 2011 with his last position as a Vice President – Investment Banking. Mr. Tan had also previously worked in N.M. Rothschild & Sons (Hong Kong) Limited and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong.
Mr. Tan obtained his Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, the UK. Mr. Tan also obtained his Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance from Singapore Institute of Management, Singapore. He was also previously a Fellow Chartered Accountant(FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
Mr. Tin Ming Kit
Director
Mr. Dicky Tin is the Director of Ignite Capital. Mr. Tin has over 15 years of corporate finance experience and has led and executed many IPOs and M&A transactions. He is responsible for supervision of corporate finance transactions including IPO, M&A, independent financial advisory, private fund raising and compliance advisory.
Prior to joining Ignite Capital and from 2013 to 2022, Mr. Tin worked at the Investment Banking Department of China Securities (International) Corporate Finance Company Limited for over 9 years with his last position as a Director. Between 2011 and 2013, Mr. Tin was a Manager of China Merchants Securities (HK) Co., Ltd.. Before that, he worked at Platinum Securities Company Limited from 2006 to 2011 with his last position as a Manager.
Mr. Tin has executed and participated in a large number of IPOs in a variety of industries including consumer, financials, TMT, education and new energy. He has extensive experience in the overall evaluation, planning, supervision and execution of IPO projects.
Mr. Tin obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance and Economics) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is an associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
